Hi everyone! Training camp has finally come to an end! As I am sitting here on the plane heading towards our first country, I can’t help but reminisce about these last few weeks here in Georgia.

God has done far more than I imagined- totally exceeding any expectation I had. One of the main things I learned was to stop striving for God. I don’t have to work to get His love. I don’t have to have it all together to come to Him. He just wants me. He just wants me to abide in Him (which was the word God placed on many individuals hearts for our squad).

Along with that, I just wanted to say I LOVE MY SQUAD! Everyone on my team is such an example of Jesus and I’ve learned so much from them! We’ve only known each other for two weeks, but it feels like we’ve known one another forever. We’ve laughed and cried together. We’ve been put in unlikely situations/scenarios and had to depend on one another- which grew our friendships even more! Thank you Jesus for these new best friends!

In conclusion, I just wanted to give a quick update! The team has landed in Nicaragua and I am so excited to see how God is going to move in my life! One of the main focuses here is discipleship for the team, so we will be a variety of disciplines to help us grow. For example, we will be waking up at 5:00am every morning for prayer/spending time with Jesus, we will be honoring the sabbath, and we will be reading many books (the first one is called Spiritual Slavery to Sonship by Jack and Trisha Frost). I am so excited to see how God is going to grow me these next four weeks!

If you have a moment, I have a couple of prayer requests!

  1. Pray that I begin to understand/speak more spanish!
  2. Good health for our team!

Thank you so much for following along & thank you so much to all who have and made this possible!

~ Danica
