Well folks, that’s a wrap on ministry. I can’t believe we’ve finished 3 months of ministry… wow does time fly.

Weeks 3 & 4 were some of the sweetest weeks of ministry. We had learned the groove of One Way, built connections with the kiddos + their families, grown closer as a team, and so much more. Since this was the last week of ministry, we wanted to do something special for the kids so they would remember how much we loved them and, most importantly, how much Jesus loves them. After some thinking, we decided to do a foot washing on our final day of ministry. It was so special for us to teach them about this and be able to SHOW THEM this example of love & pray for each child (there was about 40 kids). Even at such a young age, the Holy Spirit is alive and active in them. Some of the kids were brought to tears and opened up about struggles they are experiencing. Another thing I loved about this is how these kids experienced this together and they can keep learning about Jesus together as they grow up. I hope and pray this is something they will always remember.

⬆️(Bella and I did an example of foot washing.. it may have been cut short because one of the buckets broke… won’t say which one though).

Last night we left the One Way base in Poptún at 9pm and drove through the night to the AIM base just outside of Antigua. We arrived at the base at 5 am this morning. We are excited to be reunited with the other half of our team tomorrow (we haven’t seen each other in a month!)! We are spending the weekend at the AIM base and then flying back into the States on Monday. Then, we will be debriefing the trip for the week in Georgia and then I’ll be home Saturday the 23rd.

I just wanted to end this blog by saying thank you to those who said ‘yes’ to partnering with me in prayer and in giving. I would not have been able to do this without your ‘yes’. See you soon!

prayer requests:

  • One Way ministry in Poptún!
  • A hurricane is coming/came near Poptún— protection over that.
  • Safe travels back to the States.
  • A fruitful debrief in Georgia
